MIECZYSŁAW KRÓL (1928-2013). Architekt projektujący głównie na terenie Śląska, zawodowo związany z Wydziałem Architektury Politechniki Śląskiej. Autor koncepcji urbanistycznej zagospodarowania centrum Katowic „Śródmieście-Zachód”. Twórca projektów architektonicznych m.in.: Superjednostki, domu handlowego Zenit i nieistniejącego już Pałacu Ślubów w Katowicach.
