Jeden z dwóch bliźniaczych wieżowców (drugi powstał kilka lat temu) zaprojektowany przez Mihailo Jankovića, wybudowany w latach 1962-1964. Leży przy ujściu (Ušće) Dunaju i Sawy w Nowym Belgradzie. Obok Zachodniej Bramy Belgradu i Wieży Avala jest jednym z najwyższych obiektów w stolicy Serbii. Wieżowiec był własnością Komitetu Centralnego jugosłowiańskich komunistów, a w latach 90. Socjalistycznej Partii Serbii, która zajmowała 9 pięter budynku. W 1970 roku wieża była celem nieudanego ataku terrorystycznego antykomunistycznego dysydenta Nikoli Kavaji, który porwał samolot American Airlines Flight 293 i chciał go rozbić na budynku. Ušće Tower została częściowo zniszczona trzy dekady później podczas ostrzału rakietami Tomahawk w trakcie natowskiej operacji Allied Force. Budynek jednak przetrwał i kilka lat później został wyremontowany oraz nadbudowany o dwie kondygnacje. Obecnie – wraz powstałą w latach 2018-2020 drugą wieżą – stanowi Centrum Biznesowe Ušće.

One of two twin skyscrapers (the second one was built a few years ago) designed by Mihailo Janković, built in 1962-1964. It is situated at the mouth (Ušće) of the Danube and Sava in New Belgrade. Next to the Western Gate of Belgrade and the Avala Tower, it is one of the tallest structures in the capital of Serbia. The skyscraper was owned by the Central Committee of Yugoslav communists, and in the 1990s by the Socialist Party of Serbia, which occupied 9 floors of the building. In 1970, the tower was the target of an unsuccessful terrorist attack by anti-communist dissident Nikola Kavaja, who hijacked American Airlines Flight 293 and wanted to crash it into the building. Ušće Tower was partially destroyed three decades later by Tomahawk missile fire during NATO’s Operation Allied Force. However, the building survived and a few years later it was renovated and added two floors. Currently – together with the second tower built in 2018-2020 – it is the Ušće Business Center.
