Obecny most powstał na miejscu konstrukcji wybudowanej na przełomie XIX i XX wieku, zniszczonej przez wycofujących się Niemców w 1945 roku. Nowy, wybudowany na początku lat 60. XX wieku powstał według projektu Pála Sávoya, z którym współpracował Lajos Gádoros. Ma ponad 27 metrów szerokości, 6 pasów jezdni oraz ponad 378 metrów długości. Nosi imię uwielbianej przez Węgrów, cesarzowej Austrii, królowej Węgier – Elżbiety Bawarskiej, Sisi.

Elizabeth Bridge. The current bridge was built on the site of a structure built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, destroyed by the retreating Germans in 1945. The new one, built in the early 1960s, was designed by Pál Sávoy, with whom Lajos Gádoros collaborated. It is over 27 meters wide, 6 lanes and over 378 meters long. It is named after the Empress of Austria, Queen of Hungary – Elizabeth of Bavaria, adored by Hungarians Sisi.
