Efektowna wieża telewizyjna na północy Czech w pobliżu Liberca, wybudowana w latach 1966-1973 według projektu Karela Hubáčeka. W budynku obok nadajnika TV funkcjonuje restauracja z tarasem widokowym oraz trzygwiazdkowy hotel oferujący 56 miejsc noclegowych w 14 pokojach. W 1969 roku wieża została uhonorowana przez Międzynarodową Unię Architektów prestiżową Nagrodą Auguste Perreta, przyznawaną za wykorzystanie zaawansowanej technologii w konstrukcjach budowlanych. Stabilność budynku zapewniają dwa żelbetowe rdzenie o średnicach 5 i 13 metrów oraz zamontowane na ostatnim piętrze wahadło pochłaniające drgania poziome. Od początku obecnego wieku właścicielem wieży i hotelu jest przedsiębiorstwo České radiokomunikace a.s. W 2013 dzięki staraniom stowarzyszenia „Ještěd 73” przywrócono oryginalny wygląd wnętrz obiektu i zrekonstruowano meble według projektu Otakara Binara. Wieża otrzymała status narodowego zabytku kultury i tytuł Budowli XX wieku Republiki Czeskiej.

An impressive TV tower in the north of the Czech Republic near Liberec, built in 1966-1973 according to the design of Karel Hubáček. The building has a restaurant with a viewing terrace and a three-star hotel offering 56 beds in 14 rooms. In 1969, the tower was honored by the International Union of Architects with the prestigious Auguste Perret Award, awarded for the use of advanced technology in building structures. The stability of the building is ensured by two reinforced concrete cores with diameters of 5 and 13 meters and a pendulum installed on the top floor that absorbs horizontal vibrations. Since the beginning of this century, the tower and the hotel have been owned by České radiokomunikace a.s. In 2013, thanks to the efforts of the „Ještěd 73” association, the original appearance of the facility’s interior was restored and the furniture was reconstructed according to the design of Otakar Binar. The tower received the status of a national cultural monument and the title of the 20th century building of the Czech Republic.
