Charakterytyczna odwrócona piramida powstała w latach 1967–1983 według konkursowego projektu (II miejsce), którego autorami byli: Štefan Svetko , Štefan Ďurkovič i Barnabáš Kissling. Gmach ma 80 metrów wysokości, posiada salę koncertową dla 522 osób, jest jednym z pierwszych słowackich obiektów zrealizowanych przy zastosowaniu stalowej ramy. Choć w 2012 roku „The Telegraph” umieścił go na liście 30 najbrzydszych budynków na świecie, obecnie jest uważany za jedną z ikon późnego modernizmu wschodniej Europy. W 2017 roku „piramida” trafiła na listę zabytków dziedzictwa kulturowego Słowacji.

Slovak Radio Building. The characteristic inverted pyramid was created in the years 1967–1983 according to a competition design (2nd place), whose authors were: Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič and Barnabáš Kissling. The building is 80 meters high, has a concert hall for 522 people, and is one of the first Slovak buildings constructed using a steel frame. Although in 2012 „The Telegraph” placed it on the list of the 30 ugliest buildings in the world, it is now considered one of the icons of late modernism in Eastern Europe. In 2017, the „pyramid” was included on the list of monuments of cultural heritage of Slovakia.
