Fortyfikacje o długości 4,5 km wokół Starego Miasta w Jerozolimie. Budowane od czasów Dawida, wielokrotnie niszczone, a potem odbudowywane i powiększane, m.in. przez króla Ezechiasza, po powstaniu machabejskim w 150 r. p.n.e., przez Heroda w czasach Jezusa i sułtana Sulejmana Wspaniałego w połowie XV wieku. Ta ostatnia odbudowa przetrwała do dzisiaj. W murach Jerozolimy znajduje się 8 bram: Jafska, Dawida, Gnojna, Złota (zamknięta), Lwów, Heroda, Damasceńska i Nowa.

Walls of Jerusalem. Fortifications 4.5 km long around the Old City of Jerusalem. Built since the time of David, destroyed many times, then rebuilt and enlarged, including: by King Hezekiah after the Maccabean Revolt in 150 B.C., by Herod in the time of Jesus and by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in the mid-15th century. This last reconstruction has survived to this day. There are 8 gates within the walls of Jerusalem: Jaffa, David, Dung, Golden (closed), Lviv, Herod, Damascus and New.
